Oscars 2014 Nominations: 15 Documentaries Nominated for Oscars 2014

Oscars 2014 Nominations: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also known as The Academy, has announced 15 documentary features which will contending for the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in Oscars 2014. The decision was not easy as an extensive list of documentaries were put forth before The Academy to choose from.

Out of 147 documentaries presented to The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, they chose 15 top documentaries which have been announced for the Oscars 2014 nominations for Best Documentary Feature. A few of the top documentaries have found a spot in the Oscars 2014 nominations.

Notable mentions among these 15 announced documentaries for Oscar 2014 nominations are 20 Feet From Stardom, The Act of Killing, Blackfish and this year’s top grossing documentary - The Armstrong Lie. Moreover, Sarah Polley’s Stories We Tell, which won the N.Y Critics Circle Award today, has also been added to the Oscars 2014 nominations for best documentary.
